FREE 2D CAD · OPTIONAL AI · BETA

Start an editable floor-plan draft from a measured brief.

CadFreely’s optional AI can propose native 2D drawing geometry from your instructions. Review the proposal, apply it to the drawing and refine it with the manual CAD tools.

Give the AI a brief it can follow

Include the units, interior or exterior dimensions, wall thickness and the positions of doors and windows. Describe one well-defined room or change first. Ambiguous instructions such as “make a nice apartment” leave essential geometry unspecified.

This is a starting brief, not a pre-approved design or a guarantee of a correct result.

From prompt to a checked CAD file

  1. Open CadFreely and sign in to use an available AI allowance.
  2. Choose the drawing area or selection you intend to change, then submit a precise brief.
  3. Inspect the proposed geometry and dimensions before applying it.
  4. Check wall thickness, openings and clear dimensions with the manual tools.
  5. Correct the drawing and save a separate DWG or DXF. Reopen the copy and check it.

Manual drawing tools remain available without an AI plan. AI usage depends on account allowances and service availability; it requires an internet connection.

An editable plan and a presentation image serve different jobs

A useful CAD draft contains objects you can select, measure and modify. A generated presentation image is visual material and does not establish exact geometry. Inspect the actual drawing before using a render to communicate a design.

Read the AI drafting guide for selecting the target and reviewing changes.

Check before using a plan for real work

AI can produce incorrect dimensions, missing openings or impractical arrangements. Verify against site measurements and project requirements. A generated layout does not certify structural safety, accessibility, building-code compliance or approval for construction.

For a measured review sheet, follow the PDF plotting guide. If your work requires parametric 3D or a different drafting environment, compare the CAD alternatives.
